Blackhawks

A few days after Thanksgiving, Daddy and William went to see a Blackhawks game. Lucky William has gotten to see two of his favorite Chicago sports teams within a month! Daddy has also been enjoying all the sporting events in the last few weeks. They both love being back in Chicago!

Unfortunately, the Blackhawks did not play their best that evening, and only scored one goal, which Daddy and William missed because it was at the end. When he came home he was disappointed and told me what had happened, and I said, "welcome to the world of sports!"

Thanksgiving Festivities

This year has been amazing, and we had a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. We feel extraordinarily blessed to have spent the Thanksgiving holiday with all the family. GGs Harold and Laverne came up from St. Louis, and Kayla spent a few days with us on her Thanksgiving break from college. The weekend before Thanksgiving, we got to see uncles Rick an Chris, and Robin! Seeing everyone sure got us exited to spend Christmas in St. Louis.

On Wednesday the 23rd of November, we celebrated Thanksgiving and Allie's First Birthday in Long Grove.

William brought his waffle pie over for Thanksgiving Dessert!

On Thanksgiving Day, we celebrated over at Matt and Laura's house in Park Ridge. Gramps, Grammy, Lyssie, Cooper, and Cayle flew in from CO to celebrate Allie's special day and Thanksgiving. It was so great to spend time with our CO relatives. It was the first time we'd seen them since the move and it was great to hang out. We are looking forward to seeing them on our Colorado visit at the end of this month.

Sweet Allie!

Allie turned 1 over Thanksgiving weekend! Happy Birthday, sweet Allie!

Pie Party!

Over the long Thanksgiving weekend, William had some special guests visit! His GG-Laverne and GG-Harold, Kayla, and Pamma all came over to check out the progress at the Vernon Hills house. William hosted an impromptu Pie Party. He made "waffle pie" using ingredients from his kitchen set. There was plenty for everyone!

William's smile says it all, he is so full of JOY!

School Thanksgiving Feast!

The weekend before the Thanksgiving holiday, Uncle Rick came in for a visit from California for Man Weekend. We also got to see Uncle Chris and Robin, up from St. Louis!

Uncle Rick stayed a couple of nights with us and William loved having him over. He wanted to play the whole time!!! Uncle Rick even got to go to William's School Thanksgiving Feast. William had a long list of guests for the event, including his Pamma, Mom & Dad, and Uncle Rick!

William's School Pics!

Here are a couple pictures of William's 2011-12 school class!

In this photo, William is holding "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Suess. This book was given to Chris by Pam after he graduated college. It was very special that William got to use it as a prop for his photo shoot. It's also served as the inspiration for the name of this blog!

THE BEARS!

William got to go to his first ever NFL football game to see his favorite team, Da Bears! It was a great game. The Bears beat the Lions 37-13 and had some exciting touchdowns and plays. Best of all, he got to go with his Daddy and two Chicago uncles, Matt and Greg! He absolutely loved the whole experience.

Here is William singing along with the guys to the "Bear Down" Bears fight song. They play it after every Bears score. William has been singing this song for a long time, but after going to the game, he now knows every line!
