Year of the Dragon!

Today, William made a Dragon at school to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which was on January 23, 2012. Fun fact the year: 2012 is the 4709th Chinese year, and it is also The Year of Black Water Dragon. The funny thing is William has been really into dragons the last few weeks. He was so excited to show Chris and I his dragon after school today!

It's Craft Time!

William has one craft project a month for school, and we always have the best time getting crafty together. Appropriately, the craft for this month is a heart. William had a blast deciding the colors and sizes of the poms, as well as where to place them!



He wanted to make sure there were three love penguins - one for each of us. What a sweetheart!

Groundhog Day!

William made this Groundhog craft at school yesterday for Groundhog Day! Some groundhogs, such as Chuck (Charles G. Hogg) from New York’s Staten Island and Woody the Woodchuck in Michigan, predicted an early spring!



As you can see from William's face, he agrees!

Vail, CO

Just after the turn of the new year, we took a trip up to Vail. Vail has always been special to our family. Here is a family shot on Vail mountain.

William is a very lucky boy and got a bubble gum balloon and a sword balloon for free from the restaurant's staff.



William was very curious about this big snow machine.



At the Arrabelle with "DoggA" (William named this bear "dogga" on his first visit to the Arrabelle for his first b-day).



The Arrabelle was gorgeously decorated for the holidays. We really enjoyed Vail and the Arrabelle during the peak snow season.

Gondola

William is the gondola master! We got to ride the gondola twice on our recent visit to Vail, Colorado. It's just as pretty and breathtaking as the first time Chris and I went up to see our wedding spot.

He had lots of fun seeing all the skiers and snowboarders going down the mountain, and would point out the ones that fell down.

William Writing

William is currently learning to write his name and is doing a great job, if I do say so myself! His reading skills are also improving everyday. I will need to do a general update soon on how our little man is doing!
