T-Minus 6 days and counting!
We are all getting really excited for our family Christmas road trip to GG's house in St. Louis and Grandpa Dennis and Pamma's in Chicago! William has been having fun opening presents from Jumba and learning more about Christmas traditions, like singing, giving, and being grateful.

I Just Love You!
William is such a sweet little guy. He has some funny words he says, like "ephalent" for elephant and "buffulies" for butterflies. Best of all, he often says, "I Just Love You" to his mommy and daddy and Nora dog several times a day...it melts my heart. He continues to show interest and enthusiasm for sports. He hasn’t missed a Bears game all season…when the game is not on TV, we watch it at Old Chicago here in town. He frequently shouts, "Touchdown for Bears…YAY!" and "Fumble," "Tackle," and "Big hit!" He and daddy wear their jerseys for each game. He is not afraid to show his emotions, either. When he loves something, he says, "I love this so much" or, "I am really excited." And, he is the best comforter…if mommy or daddy seem sad, he will come up to us and say, "it's OK" and give us a hug. We love our sweet Newton Boy!
Wrigley Field
William went to his first Cubs game with Grandpa Dennis, Daddy, and Mommy this summer. We went to a bar near Wrigley field and he had a couple shots of water before the game;) He had a lot of fun and loved the blimp.
Jingle Bells
Here is a recent video of William singing "Jingle Bells" - he loves singing and listening to Christmas songs! This is not his best version of the song...but his little dance moves were too cute not to share!
A very merry countdown!
Every morning William runs around the condo looking for Jumba. It's been really fun! He got these awesome Thomas pj's too!
He always thanks the elf. He says, "Thank you Jumba!"
He gets so excited. Here he is running to see what Jumba brought.

Our Toddler Likes to Color!
William has gotten so good at coloring! He has gone from doodling everywhere (which he still likes to do) to actually distributing his colors more evenly!

Elf on the Shelf and Countdown to Christmas
William has officially begun the Countdown to Christmas. The first thing he opened was a football. He was so excited when Pamma and Santa's special packages arrived ;)
The second thing he opened was The Elf on the Shelf package, which included a book and an Elf.
Here is Daddy and William reading The Elf on The Shelf book. The book depicts the story of the Elf...he comes to hang at our house each year and reports to Santa each night whether William was a good or bad boy. William then wakes up and finds him each morning. If he was a good boy, the Elf has a present for William the next day. William was very attentive to the book and named the elf "Jumba."
William found Jumba on a shelf this morning and was very excited to see he had brought a special gift. As you may notice, he also has his football, which he named his "giant" football.
Need I say more...
"I am thinking about this truck"
hmmmm...

William and Rodney the Reindeer. It came with a book telling the story of Rodney, who helped Santa find his hat one Christmas. He loves this book, which was given to him by his auntie Jess. We read it every night!
