Hiking

On Sunday we went on a family hike in the mountains. We had a few days of great weather and got spring fever. It was very refreshing to get some mountain air. We had so much fun and can't wait to do it more when the weather allows.

William rode on Daddy's shoulders for a few minutes because he said the hill was very heavy and steep.

After getting a little break with the help of Daddy, William was back at play. He is very friendly to all the people we pass on the trail. He says "Hi" and he loves all the doggies along the trail, too, and always lets Nora know there is another dog coming.

We found a stick for Nora to fetch on this trail, which is actually a creek in the warmer months.

Exploring

Walking Nora, so calm and assertive.

Happy campers!

We love seeing William do things he was not capable of before. It really is amazing to watch him grow. It seems so long yet so short since he was just a little baby.

Swimming

On Friday it was 65 degrees and sunny and we got the urge to go swimming, so we went to the North Boulder Rec center, which is right down the road from our house. They have a nice pool area for the kids, and William had a blast splashing and making baskets. They have two basketball hoops right in the pool.

William

William knows how to spell his name, but he gets very shy when we ask him to spell it for us. We captured it, but unfortunately the video is awfully dark and hardly visible, but at least we finally got it on video and wanted to share it. This is quite an accomplishment for a two year old. We are so proud of him!

Bob the Builder

Dress up time! William has a lot of fun dressing up like Bob the Builder. He even wore it to the park and had fun building rocks and "fixing" playground equipment.

William and Mommy spend a lot of time playing and having fun together.

William's Room

We added a few new things to William's room this year. We have been wanting to hang a map of the world, constellations, and glow in the dark stars to his room for while. He loves it all and is getting smarter by the minute! He can point out Earth and some other planets, as well as places like Madagascar, Hawaii, Africa and the oceans on his map.

Look, here is Earth!

William also got a new easel for Christmas from his Chicago Grandparents! He loves drawing and writing the alphabet with Mommy.

Blackhawks Game

One thing William and Daddy really wanted to do in Chicago was go to a Blackhawks game. William really enjoyed watching all the games during 2010's Stanley Cup championship run with Daddy. He developed a love for the song played at all Blackhawks home games after they score a goal. Grandpa Dennis got a few tickets and took Daddy and William to the game one night. The Hawks lost, but they got to see three goals by the home team! It was a ton of fun.

Sue

We finally got the chance to go visit Sue at the Field Museum in Chicago. William was mesmerized by the fact that it was a real dinosaur - it is actually the most complete dinosaur skeleton in the world! We also went on the Nature Walk and got to see Nativity scenes from around the world. Mommy's favorite part was the evolution of shoes and fashion. Interesting stuff! William got an A+ for being so well behaved the entire time. He really enjoyed it.

Auntie Lisa went with us to the Field Museum and we had so much fun in the city! Afterwards, we were all hungry so we stopped for a delicious bite at XOCO for some incredible Mexican food and espresso drinks.

Chicago

Christmas fun continues! After St. Louis, we drove up to Chicago to spend a week at Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Pamma's house.

Happy Boy!

William and Claire riding their new cars. They definitely kept us entertained.

Lucky boy got to ride on some big boy toys! Thanks Grandma!

William went on his very first train ride with Grandma Pamma. Have your tickets ready!

Having lunch at Tsukasa, another Chicago tradition.

Uncle Matt and William

William helped Grandma feed Claire. He is going to be a good older brother someday.

Christmas at the condo downtown.

Last day in St. Louis

St. Louis Rams versus SF 49ers @ the Edward Jones Dome. William's first football game, and the Rams won! It was a great game and a lot of fun.

Tackling Aunt Laura.

Solving the Google 3D puzzle with Grandpa Dennis.

The kiddos having evening cereal at GG's. Chris and his brothers did the same thing when they were kids! The tradition continues...
