William's Light Saber

William has officially been introduced to Star Wars! At first I was a little hesitant because of his age but we talked about responsibility and bad vs good, which is an interesting subject to speak about with a 3-almost-4 year old. He got his first Light Saber this past weekend. We were proud that he chose the blue one, which is used by good guys Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke in the early movies. I can't believe what a BIG boy he is these days! Chris is loving it, of course!

On Monday he could not wait to tell his teachers all about his new Light Saber and even drew a picture of it. I will post some pictures of him playing with his light saber soon.

Light Installation

We recently visited the Cloud Gate in Millennium Park to check out the art light installation. It was opening night and the snow and city lights created quite the scenery.

William had a blast chasing the changing lights all around!

Train Ride

William and Daddy went for a train ride in the city. Of course William loved it and even got to ride on for free!

Waiting for the train with Daddy!

Shedd Aquarium

Last weekend we headed to Chicago for some fun in the city. Our first stop was the Shedd Aquarium to see the fish! William was excited to see the sharks, jellies, sea turtle, and tuna fish.

Checking out the Jellies.

This is one giant jelly!

Looking for Nemo...

Pushing some buttons and making friends.

William loving the sharks!

Looking up at the sea turtle, it was hiding in the corner.

Lucky William took home a souvenir - penguin slippers! We really love penguins!

Valentine's Fun!

William had his Valentine's Day party at school today. I helped planned the last two parties and kind of wished I had signed up for this one too! The kids did some fun Valentine's Day crafts, played Valentine's Day bingo, and passed out Valentines to each other.

So sweet!

Pajama Day!

This past Friday, it was Pajama Day at William's school! The children could also bring a favorite stuffed animal or blanket. This past Christmas, GG Laverne let the children pick a favorite stuffed animal from her collection, and William chose Lamma (a stuffed lamb).

She is definitely his favorite sleeping buddy these days!

William has a little Lamb, who followed him to school one day!

Children of the World!

William's class recently talked about how they are the children of the world. They made a project to go along with it, and he brought it home today. William included Annabelle (a little girl William likes at school), his cousin Claire, and his Colorado buddy Jameson. When I saw the names he chose I thought it was super sweet!

Got to LOVE when the children of this world are happy!

William also received an award for excellent motor skills today! Go William!

Little Chef!

William is our little chef. He loves to cook all kinds of different foods, including pizza, vegetable soup, pies, and many other yummy goodies.

He loves his new kitchen he got from Pamma and Grandpa, and spends most of his day cooking something up. The microwave is actually a "toaster" - he "decorated" it with some veggies, fruits, and bread.

William likes to get dressed all by himself. He does a great job, even if the clothes are on backwards sometimes.

William will often make dinner for us. This night he made us a very healthy and tasty vegetable soup.

Year of the Dragon!

Today, William made a Dragon at school to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which was on January 23, 2012. Fun fact the year: 2012 is the 4709th Chinese year, and it is also The Year of Black Water Dragon. The funny thing is William has been really into dragons the last few weeks. He was so excited to show Chris and I his dragon after school today!

It's Craft Time!

William has one craft project a month for school, and we always have the best time getting crafty together. Appropriately, the craft for this month is a heart. William had a blast deciding the colors and sizes of the poms, as well as where to place them!

He wanted to make sure there were three love penguins - one for each of us. What a sweetheart!

Groundhog Day!

William made this Groundhog craft at school yesterday for Groundhog Day! Some groundhogs, such as Chuck (Charles G. Hogg) from New York’s Staten Island and Woody the Woodchuck in Michigan, predicted an early spring!

As you can see from William's face, he agrees!
