Colorado Besties
We had the pleasure of hanging out with some of our best friends from Colorado this past week. Last Thursday, Jameson, Isabel, and their mommy Jessica came to hang out with us all day. The kids had a blast playing and running all around the back yard.
William Lately
William is enjoying this fun and hot summer. He has been going to "kids kamp" at his school 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9am to noon. He loves it so much and wakes up everyday all week asking if he can go to camp "this day."
This is the summer of learning! This month, our focus has been numbers and math. He can write 1-15 with minimal assistance. He started working on K-1 math and he has even said he loves math. Next month we will be focusing on taking his reading skills to the next level! His writing has gotten more natural and he loves writing his full name on everything! I love seeing him write "William Newton" with no assistance at all, he gets the sweetest, proudest face.
He has been keeping busy going to birthday parties practically every weekend. Weekends are so fun, he enjoys hanging with Pamma and Grandpa at the pool, park, and at the country club where he gets to do some putting with Grandpa and hunt for treasure with Pamma. He also loves going to visit his counsins Claire and Allie, and every time he sees them, he says that was his favorite part of the day.

The Drums of the Pacific Hawaiian Luau, Muai Style!
On our last evening in Maui we decided to take William to a Luau. We figured you can't visit the islands for the second time and not attend a Luau!
William and I learned how to do the hula. It was so fun and funny. Video to come - this shot was taken right after we walked offstage.
