William's School Pics!

Here are a couple pictures of William's 2011-12 school class!

In this photo, William is holding "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Suess. This book was given to Chris by Pam after he graduated college. It was very special that William got to use it as a prop for his photo shoot. It's also served as the inspiration for the name of this blog!

THE BEARS!

William got to go to his first ever NFL football game to see his favorite team, Da Bears! It was a great game. The Bears beat the Lions 37-13 and had some exciting touchdowns and plays. Best of all, he got to go with his Daddy and two Chicago uncles, Matt and Greg! He absolutely loved the whole experience.

Here is William singing along with the guys to the "Bear Down" Bears fight song. They play it after every Bears score. William has been singing this song for a long time, but after going to the game, he now knows every line!

Lincoln Park Zoo

This past Saturday, we enjoyed a fun family day in the city at the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was William's first time there. He was well behaved and we had a great time checking out all the animals.

He also got to ride a carousel for the first time.

His favorite thing in the world, riding trains.

This polar bear was truly adorable and had the best personalty. He was our favorite animal of the day!

BeautiFall!

Living in Colorado, we didn't get to experience the fall season for very long each year. So it has been a real treat to spend fall back in Chicago. We had some lovely Indian Summer days in early October that allowed us to spend a lot of time outside playing and admiring the beauty of this fall season.

William looks pretty small in our large backyard!

William's class talked about the fall season and how the leaves change color and fall off the trees.

Tire swing at the park!

When the sun is shining, the walk to the park sure is gorgeous!

Didier Farms

As Halloween was approaching, we went for a visit to the pumpkin patch and Halloween festival at Didier Farms in Buffalo Grove, near our house. We all had a fun family afternoon.

Bouncing!

Driving the Mustang! He was hilarious on this ride and would not stop beeping the horn!

After the sports car it was time for a trip in the big rig!

Astronaut Newton

A few days before Halloween, William got to try out his new astronaut costume. He really had a "blast" with it!

Exploring new terrain...

Here he is getting used to his helmet...

the park behind our house has a cool rocket ship, which was perfect for Space Commander William's first space mission!

Quick music break...

William also had fun wearing his Halloween costume to three different parties over Halloween weekend. On Friday he had his school party, on Saturday he went to the Hawthorn Woods barn kids Halloween party, and on Sunday he went to the country club's Halloween costume brunch.

Here he is enjoying some treats at the Hawthorn Woods Barn Party ...

...and here he is the next day at the country club's Halloween party. He had a lot of fun going to three parties three days in a row but was certainly finished with the festivities at this point.

Halloween

This Halloween, William got to go trick or treating in the neighborhoods Chris grew up in. Our neighborhood is actually a great one for Halloween fun.

Taking a candy break from all that hard trick or treating!

Daddy could not help himself and had to try on Williams astronaut helmet. William was not too sure about this one.....

Monster mash ring! William was once again totally in to his Monster Mash book that auntie Jess got for him a couple years ago. The book really got him into Frankensteins, a.k.a. "monster mashes."

William and his mountain of tricks and treats.

Trick-or -Treat

I got this video of William trick or treating at our house after he and daddy went for round two of trick or treating on Halloween night. You can barely hear him say trick or treat thanks to Nora's bark ;)

School Halloween Party

William's school Halloween party was Friday, October 28. I volunteered to help out with the festivities and I am so glad did. It was really special to spend the morning at William's school and have fun with the kids. We did lots of fun activities from crafts to trick or treating and everything in between!
