Our favorite Christmas gifts!

William worked so hard to make Chris and I Christmas gifts! He made us a Christmas wreath using his little hands (so sweet) and the Nativity scene. Our favorite gifts by far!

Brunch with Santa!

He looks handsome as ever.

Allie has the right idea.

Cinderella

A couple weeks back we attended "Cinderella" at the Marriott theater for William's school field trip. Little Claire got to come with us. It was fun and the kids were so well-behaved.

The Polar Express From Gramps and Gramby!

Christmas came early for this lucky little boy, who received a very special package from his Gramps and Gramby!

He also got a letter from Santa confirming his appearance on Santa;s "good list" per a recommendation from Gramps and Gramby! Thanks for putting in the good word for William!

William loved going over to Gramps' house and playing with his train every Christmas, but since we are not going to make it to Colorado this December, it is special for him to have his own here to remind him of his Colorado family!

One very happy lucky little boy! I think it's safe to say this is one of his favorite Christmas gifts ever! Thanks guys!

Exploring @ The Field Museum

One of our favorite places in Chicago is The Field Museum. We went there recently and had a blast exploring, and could literally spend days in there.

William has recently entered his dinosaur phase, which is one of my favorites! He is very curious about all things relating to dinosaurs and loves learning all about them. He has seen Sue before but this time he was really in awe that she is, in fact, a real dinosaur that once lived.

Really big totem poles!

Egyptian hieroglyphs.

We checked out the Egyptian installation at the museum and William was unsure about the mummies.

Standing in our favorite spot in the world, the Hawaiian island chain!

Learning about the Hawaiian hot spot.

In the spot light!

Having a blast learning all kinds of facts about the long necks, triceratops, duckbills, and more!

Stepping in to the Apatosaurus footprint.

Zoo Lights!

We loved the Zoo Lights so much last year that we had to go back this year! It was very festive and put us in the spirit of the season.

William is the shaka master and will throw it up in just about every photo!

William liked the icicle lights next to the giraffes.

The musical lights did not disappoint!

They were doing some ice carving and we got to see the guy carve a pretty snow flake. William got to touch a piece of ice similar to that used for carving.

Jumba is Back!

Jumba has returned for another fun Christmas month of searching and finding.

His very first stop was the Christmas tree! This is before we had the ornaments up...the lights helped Jumba find his way to our house again this year!

Colorado Newtons

It was great to stop by and have lunch with Gramps, Gramby, Lyssie, Cooper, and Cayle! Cooper and Cayle were very nice and gave William a box of their old Transformers! Lucky boy!

Check out this cute rice crispy train! William was very generous and shared it with us, it was delicious! We are excited to go back to Colorado soon and spend more time with the fam.

Boulder

We enjoyed being back in Boulder, if only for a couple of days! We got to do some fun hikes, Christmas shopping, playing, and dining! We also got to stay at the St. Julien at a discounted rate thanks to Chris!

William loved drawing with chalk on the kidrobot.

It's good to be back!

There is one store on Pearl St. that has a cool kid nook in the back!

Enjoying the pretty Christmas lights on Pearl St.

The St. Julien did such a great job at decorating for Christmas!

Traveling is exhausting!

Morning swim with a view!

Good Friends!

While in Boulder we got to hang out with Jameson and Isabel. William had a blast seeing his friends.

They are so cute and such good little friends! It's been fun seeing them grow up together!

Telluride Gondolas!

Gondolas are one of Williams favorite methods of transportation, and appropriately so, being the Colorado boy that he is!

At first the height and concept of hanging in a basket by a wire made William unsure, but once he remembered how much fun it is, he could not get enough of it!

We are so glad we made the trip back to Telluride and hope to go back soon!
