Big Island Adventures

We did some exploring around the island but mainly stayed on and around the Waikoloa Marriot Resort property. There are shops and restaurants across the street from the resort, so there was plenty to do.

Daddy and daughter love.

Fun towel animals in the room.

Loving the glass bottom boat rides.

We did a whale watching boat tour and a snorkeling tour.  They were both great. Whale watching is better on Maui. We did see some spinner dolphins, they came right up to the boat. William went snorkeling with dad and loved it. We had more water sport activities booked but the winds were crazy the whole week we were there.

One really awesome thing we saw was our first rainbow spout. It happens very quickly, we were lucky to get a picture of it.

Sunset boy.

Having fun at the pool!

We had dinner a couple of nights at a beach side restaurant. Sunset, food, and toes in the sand. This spot has really great sunsets and one of the nights a group of young turtles came to greet us.

Captain William!

Strawberry daiquiri time after a day at sea.

William is growing up and becoming more and more independent everyday.  He decided he wanted to ride the water bike and he did. I was a little nervous having my child out in the water by himself but he was totally find.

Seed to Table Experience

For spring break 2014 we visited the isle of Hawaii. On our first morning we headed to the farmers market for the chef shuttle. It was a beautiful Saturday morning.

William likes his beets.

Big Hawaiian avocadoes.

Rambutan is an interesting exotic fruit, similar to leeches. Mild in flavor.

William had fun helping chef pick out tomatoes for dinner.

He also loved running around the farms.

We loved the farmers! Harvesting green beans for dinner. He also harvested cucumbers, zucchini, and squash.

Where is William?

Arrabella having a taste of some fresh strawberries.

Strawberry fields.

This was a very unique experience and my personal favorite part of this trip, beside maybe these Hawaiian margaritas!!!

It was so fun seeing the ingredients used in our dinner. We had some tasty dishes. This one is duck with coconut risotto and beet leaves.

Strawberry shortcake.

8 Months

Arrabella is now 8 months old. Some highlights from the past two months include saying mama, dada, lots of new vocal sounds, some even sound like brother and Nora, dancing, pulling up, sleeping through the night consistently, and eating lots of new fruits and veggies. She is not crawling yet, but is definitely on the go scooting around. She is into everything, if she can see it, it's hers.  She is girly and a little screamer.  She loves brothers old toys and books, one of her favorites is an old Thomas book with sounds. She really likes the beach, resorts, and being at the pool.

Bella the beach bunny! "what's this?"

Strike a pose. Had to share this one despite the silly stick in the back ground.
Bells really digs the beach. You may often find her with a fistful of sand.
This baby girl is not afraid to push the baby fashion limits bunny ears, heart shaped polka dot shades, stripes, flowers, owls and all. I think she could have used a tutu and some glitter.

Fun times @ the Kauai Marriott

At this point this post might as well be a throwback since it was back in February. We had a really lovely time in Kauai!  Chris visits the different Marriott resort properties on the Hawaiian islands every few months and we get to tag along for the longer trips.  The Kauai Marriot was so welcoming and hospitable to our family.  They really spoiled us and we didn't mind it.  We all enjoy daddies work perks.

Having breakfast before a fun day of exploring.

We very briefly hiked up the Napali coast, it is very rocky and on this day it was rainy and muddy, but so beautiful.
This boy!!!
A rare family photo at the Hanalei bay pier.

All ready for a nice dinner, sitting like a big girl.
We had a lot of fun at this pool. This is the largest pool in all of Hawaii,  it was a very clean pool for it's size.
William is a fish, loves, loves to swim and jump in backwards and forwards.
This is so funny! We love seeing all the tourist stop and giggle at the weather coconut.
More pool fun, it never ends. Arrabella went swimming for the first time, she has always loved the water and had fun splashing around. I was sure we had taken pictures but I am not having luck finding them.
Arrabella in our pool side cabana. "I will take one of each, please"!
Arrabella the mermaid, queen of the sea. :)
Of course there was night swimming!
 ...and more day swimming!

Kauai Beach Fun

On our first day in Kauai we headed to the north shore, the north shore of Kauai might be our favorite place in all of Hawaii.  We were only there for a few short days and didn't want to waste any time.

William loves exploring new beaches.

Me and Bell!

These little piggy's went to the beach.

Hip, hip, hooray for beach days!

Bella the beach beauty!
