Hiking Chautauqua in Boulder!

William had his best hike yet in Boulder! We hiked around Chautauqua and got all the way up to the base of the middle flatiron! It was a real deal hike! We had so much fun looking for "snake homes" and "dinosaur bones." Dinosaurs are William's latest obsession, but I will leave that for another post.

When we reached the middle flatiron, William proceeded to rock climb up it. He was very determined. You can take the boy out of Boulder but you can't take Boulder out of the boy! This was one of the best parts of the whole trip! Proud parents!

One of maybe two family shots we got the whole trip, it is so hard to get a photo of all of us together on our vacations.

Notice William holding one of his new Transformers he got from uncle Cooper and uncle Cayle! He is so lucky! Of course it had to come hiking too!

Ouray, CO

On our way out of Telluride, we stopped in Ouray, CO to grab some lunch! This little town is beyond gorgeous, after visiting I can see why some people call it "Little Switzerland!"

Thanksgiving 2012!

Thanksgiving started off rough with William getting a stomach bug in the morning. He eventually recovered and all was well.

We did have to change our plans around a bit and had to skip on seeing the Lussiers. It was also their last day in Colorado, as they moved to Memphis this week. Chris Lussier went to college with Chris. The Lussiers have 6 beautiful kids, including a brand new precious little baby boy, Timothy! We sure would have loved to have met him and seen the family.

After a long day of nursing William back to health we got ourselves together and made it to our friends Laura and Eric's house. It was so amazing to see their new beautiful custom built home!

This table arrangement could be in a magazine...right!?! The painting in the back is Laura's - she is very talented!

We feel very lucky to have such cool and thoughtful friends! Laura got William a Kidrobot to color! Here he is trying to get Raffy's shoes on. She also had a kids placemat for him to color! Love thoughtful friends, and they don't even have kids!

Hiking around Telluride, CO!

Telluride, CO is one of our favorite places in the USA! The San Juan mountain range creates quite the backdrop! We are very thankful we got to visit beautiful Telluride again.

Hot Chocolate 15K/5K

Chicago's sweeties race the Hot Chocolate 15K/5K was this past Sunday. We spent the weekend in the city and enjoyed some delicious meals, fun activities, and some good family time.

Chris and William were very supportive and got up with me very early in the morning on Sunday! It was a madhouse down there with thousands of participants.

I ran the 15K and accomplished a new personal record but as a true competitor there is always room for improvement!

Halloween 2012

This year William got to go trick-or-treating with Pamma in our neighborhood.

William the Jedi!

William was Luke Skywalker and Chris was Darth Vader! Classic!

There use to be a "Cat Lady" that lived near our neighborhood, she had too many cats and the house had to be demolished earlier this year. The neighbors put out these giant cats for Halloween! This photo was taken across the street from where the house use to be! Spooky!!!

School Halloween Party!

The school Halloween party was a total success! All the children looked adorable in there costumes! William was Luke Skywalker. He decided he wanted to be Luke Skywalker months ago when he first got into Star Wars!

The Halloween themed juice boxes I made for the party!

William, Jaxon, Joshua, and Annabelle!

Playing knights with friends!

Criss-Cross apple sauce!

After some fun crafts and a prayer it was time for snack!

After snack it was time for some more Halloween fun! They freeze danced and did some Halloween bowling!

Getting Crafty @ Home!

This Fall William and I have been keeping very busy with various DIY Fall themed crafts!

William painted big and small leaves to make a Fall leave banner and to decorate one of his pumpkins! William made the creative decision to put the leaves on the pumpkin, genius! We also made some sparkly pumpkins, they were messy and fun!

Our three eyed cutie!

He also decided to paint a mask and had fun running around the house being silly with it!

Here is a picture of Williams wonder-Fall creations!
