Hawaiian Halloween



We had a fun Hawaiian Halloween! At first I was concerned that it wouldn't be as fun here on the island as it has been in Boulder and especially in Vernon Hills, because they are so spirited there during the holiday season. In our neighborhood there were maybe two houses decorated for Halloween and ours was one of them. I noticed that a lot of people decorated on Halloween day though.  We went to our friend's house for a fun Halloween party and some trick or treating, and it turned into a really festive night.

As you can see in this photo a lot of adults dress up for Halloween here.  Almost every adult I saw that night was dressed up.

Todays throwback is this photo of William and Arrabella after she came home from the hospital. William loves his little sister so much. He is so sweet with her and has been a big help. He loves to hold her, play with her, and loves helping us whenever he can. Arrabella sure is lucky to have a loving and protective big brother.

Disney Character Breakfast

Last month during our trip to Oahu we had breakfast with some of the Disney characters at the Aulani Disney Hawaii resort.   We were excited for William and Arrabella to meet Mickey and Minnie.

Daddy decided to pull an old family tradition and tell the staff it was William's birthday.  He was so funny and kept telling people "well actually it was already my birthday".  Funny, at least he knows lying its not a good thing but its ok sometimes if you get chocolate cake for free...right?!

3 Months

Baby Bella bee is three months old today!

Arrabella baby continues to be our sweet baby girl.  We love that she is beginning to take interest in her baby toys and books. She is also starting to reach for toys and will hold onto rattles and Sophie when I place them in her hands. She likes to play "happy baby," which is a game we play that consists of her finding her toes with her hands. She also likes to pull up when lying on her back by grabbing my fingers. When I take photos of her she will often stare at the camera with curiosity! She has started to blow raspberries.  No big belly laughs yet but we are trying to be as silly as possible!

Baby Arrabella

Here is a throwback of Baby Arrabella at the hospital photo shoot before we went home, she was two days old. Here she is wearing my wedding pearls, which will one day be hers.

Arrabella Lily Newton

As you may have noticed, Arrabella's name has been finalized (yes, this time for sure, 100%) to Arrabella Lily Newton.  I now understand why some cultures wait months to name their children. Hopefully she won't think we are totally crazy parents if this ever comes up.  We love our Arrabella girl and William boy and are very grateful and feel incredably blessed for both of our children!
