William had his 3 year check up a few days ago, a little early. He is doing great, everything is looking good. His speech development is amazing as well as his motor skills. He has recently started to describe things by what they aren't instead of what they are; often while riding in the car, he will say, "red light means stop, green light means go," and so on, but he now also says, "red light does not mean go." He sometimes stutters in an attempt to merge a sentence together, but the pediatrician said it is very normal and that his mind is working a little faster than his mouth sometimes. We try to simply repeat the sentence after he says it and often he does not stutter the second time around. He has funny things he says as well. Chris and I often look at each other in amazement and say to ourselves, "we need to write this down so we don't forget!" Here is one that we remember: "so here is the question." He then follows that with a question about his toys. We are just loving our big boy. I can't believe he is going to be 3 in less than a month, then on to another amazing year of growth!
